During Houston's 20 year journey of interacting with creatives, he has grown to love and appreciate the heart to share their gifts with others. Since moving to Dallas, he and Sherry have been privileged to be part of a community where the arts play a primary role. These experiences have fueled their vision for Purdon Groves: To build a space where people can engage and create. Just as Freddie Eads handcrafted the acreage before them, Houston and Sherry view it as a privilege to create experiences that nourish the creativity of artists and enrich the lives of all who enter our gates.
Houston loves sharing our vision and goals with artists and enthusiasts alike. In between maintaining the property and exploring new opportunities and partnerships, he keeps busy honing his own craft as an amateur photographer.
Since marrying Houston over 30 years ago, Sherry's found her calling in hosting and fostering community around the table. As the writer of our content, she draws on her experience as a freelance writer with a gift for interviewing and sharing people's stories.
